Arabambi denies division in Ogun Labour Party, affirms Micheal Ashade as authentic Chairman

By Our Correspondent  The Ogun State chapter of the Labour Party has described the purported suspension of the State Executive Council of the party as an imagination of the purveyors of fake news.  The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Abayomi Arabambi, said this while reacting to a series of media statements credited to one Tokunbo Peters, that the State chapter of Labour Party under the leadership of Micheal Ashade has been suspended by the party’s National Working Committee. Arabambi, in a statement he signed and made available to newsmen in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, said the party Constitution is clear on how to dissolve a State Executive Council. NUC Renews CALEB Varsity's MBA program as Psychology, Six other undergraduate programmes get fresh accreditation

By Our Correspondent The National Universities Commission (NUC) has renewed the full accreditation it earlier granted the Masters of Business Administration (MBA) programme; along with six other undergraduate degree programmes of Caleb University, Imota, Lagos. In a release signed by Olawale Adekoya, Information, Media and Publication Specialist on behalf of the Institution said, the Commission granted full accreditation to the Psychology programme of the University. The accreditation was communicated in a letter signed by Arc. S.S. Ikani, Deputy Director of Programme Accreditation, based on the result of the November/December 2022 Accreditation visit. By Our Correspondent  The vice-presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Datti Baba-Ahmed has urged President Muhammadu Buhari not to hold the swearing-in of the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, on May 29. Tinubu, the flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was declared the winner of the presidential election on March 1 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). But Baba-Ahmed, speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, argued that the APC failed to meet the requirements of Section 134 (2)(a) and (b) of the Nigerian constitution for election into the office of the President. IPAC applauds INEC over Ogun Guber Polls, urges aggrieved candidates to shun violence

By Our Correspondent  Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has applauded Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its performance during the last Saturday's governorship and State Assembly elections. The State Chairman of IPAC and People’s Redemption Party State Chairman, Mr. Samson Okusanya, gave the commendation in Abeokuta while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the elections. The chairman, who specifically commended INEC for the early mobilisation of both human and material resources at various polling units across the state, said the last governorship election was better organised than the previous elections.
